AUTOMOTIVE TRANSMISSION TECHNICIAN - BENEFITS - PTO - 401k - COMPETITIVE WAGES Job Description: Transmission Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with Ford and/or dealership standards. Transmission Technicians diagnose and repair automotive systems Transmission Technicians complete vehicle report cards to identify additional automotive repairs and recommended maintenance. Transmission Technicians explain the transmission diagnosis and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers. Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made. As an Automotive Transmission Technician, you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Automotive Technician: 3 years of transmission automotive technician experience is highly preferred, but we are open to considering 1 year of proven experience in the field. Must be certified in some capacity: Ford, ASE, etc. Must have experience with Automatic Transmission overhauls. Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service. Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, transmissions, etc.
