Revenue Recovery Manager is a key position responsible for maximization of hospital reimbursement Will be directly responsible for identifying trends in underpayment overpayments denials revenue opportunities and revenue leakage Will directly manage Senior Recovery Specialists Recover y Specialist and Reimbursement Specialists Will work with respective departments to evaluate trends recommend solutions and be part of the team that works towards a resolution Will work with MCC s on contract interpretation loading updating and distribution of correspondence to Business Office and Facility staff as required Will directly work with divisional directors and senior management on contract negotiation payor relationships contract assessment and execution Will manage the training and be an adviser to all MCC s Perform monthly presentations to senior leadership on status and performance
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1 Extensive knowledge of Excel sequel report writing Access Power Point
2 Minimum of 1 one year of hospital Revenue Cycle experience
3 Minimum of 1 one years of accounting experience
4 Knowledge of CPT HCPCS DRG reimbursement methodologies and revenue codes
5 Ability to compile data analyze data and make cursory recommendation
6 Ability to work with various financial and clinical departments collaboratively
7 Ability to present data to various levels of end users
8 Possesses required PC competencies
9 Ensures that all reports and data have been validated prior to distribution
10 Ensures that reports and produced timely
11 Ability to work on multiple projects initiatives at a time
12 Maintains applicable continuing education requirements
13 Ability to follow designated chain of command
14 Works Independently
15 Compile data from BOB DAR ReView Denial Management System and various other systems Responsibilities include verification and accuracy of data compiling data and be required to translate information into multiple formats excel Access power point and white paper format
16 Other duties as assigned
SCOPE OF WORK:
17 Review contract loading updates and interpretation with Facility MCC s as needed
18 Identify variance trends in ReView and from Denial Log
19 Ensure contract loading in ReView is current and accurate
20 Stop loss Outlier daily collections and monthly reporting as well as recommendations for chart audit
21 Implant HCJ daily collections monthly log accrual opportunities and OR log review
22 Monthly transaction code analysis including Late charge write off review and reporting
23 Facility reimbursement analysis as needed or required for added Facility services
24 Contract Face sheets including Appeal Filing limits refund retractions COB PAT Stop loss Implant terms etc
25 Identify and recommend potential operational changes to maximize reimbursement within the terms of the Facility agreements
26 Payor Plan Code additions and modifications
27 Monthly review of Payor Policy changes in covered services and negative financial impact to terms agreed
28 Provide Facility departments and Business Office supporting contract terms and matrix s
29 Negotiate all assigned Facility Single case or one time agreements
30 Other duties as assigned
