Scripps Company, is a medium-sized metro daily with new plant and state of the art facility. Our upscale print audience is highly responsive to advertising and our web site attracts more than 1 million unique users a month. We presently have an excellent career opportunity for a seasoned sales professional. Join our team and help grow existing accounts and build new advertising relationships. Create and conduct marketing presentations to customers that include all products and services in our diversified and growing portfolio. A prior track record of sales success is required. Knowledge of the Collier and Lee markets is preferred but not required. Outside the box thinking will be necessary to keep our products and services at the forefront of this market. Position requires excellent communication and organization skills. In addition, should be able to prioritize workload, be goal oriented, work well under deadline pressure. College degree preferred. Computer savvy with a working knowledge of Excel, Word, Email, Internet and PowerPoint a plus. We offer a competitive salary and commission plan and an excellent benefit program. Key Activities Increase advertising revenue by proactively prospecting and qualifying new business accounts. Manage a high sales volume and sales presentation activity. Aggressively solicit advertising from new customers, including: Planning advertising budgets and developing and presenting campaigns. Close business and successfully meeting or exceeding individual and/or team goals.
